How to Join

Karting is a fantastic family experience. If you're a parent that likes the idea of bonding with your kids, drop by (see Schedule page) and watch families working together on their karts and cheering on their sons, daughters, and parents as they race. You'll get a warm welcome and we hope you'll soon join us on the track in your own kart. Call Steve Copp at 250-920-9004 (evenings 250-658-0265) or John Reaume at 250-478-6054 and let them know you're coming to the track for the first time.

Whether you're a kid, or an adult who's a "kid at heart", we have classes for all age groups and invite you to come out to Western Speedway.

Due to the fantastic interest we've had in "Victoria Karting," (thank you everyone!), we ask that you phone Steve or John before you come to the track to confirm a kart can be made available for your "test drive" if you're exploring karting. Please remember that we are NOT a rental agency. Cost is $50.00 for pit pass plus $50.00 for kart rental. (Reservations are a MUST)
We try to make a kart available when we can for those people wanting to try some laps to see if karting is for them.

Please remember to bring a good-fitting helmet for each driver. You must wear gloves and comfortable shoes. (read the rules by clicking here)

Karting is a great way for anyone to develop driving skills and understand the fundamentals of accelerating, braking, and cornering, all with safety as the first priority.

For those people wanting to help in other ways, we always welcome talented people to our volunteer group. Click here to visit our volunteer page.

Be sure to cheer for your favourite driver. They appreciate the support!

Cost

- Racing = $50.00 per day, $35.00 per additional family member

What do I get for my $50.00?
- each race-day we run 4 races for each class as follows . . . practice, qualifying, pre-race, final race.
If a person runs a full schedule of 10 laps in each event, you can put in approximately 40+ laps on the track at Western Speedway, a great value.

- free viewing from the grandstands or from the pits.

NOTE:
- do NOT cross the track until directed to do so by a flag-person !
- only cross the track at the start - finish line through the gate under the Flagstand!

Thank you for your cooperation. Safety First !!
